Dr. Michal Balberg is a seasoned entrepreneur, with experience in successfully leading a medical device startup from an idea to a commercial product. As a co-founder, CEO and CTO of Ornim Inc.,

Michal led the fundraising, business development, clinical and regulatory paths, along with technological development and securing a strong intellectual property portfolio.

Michal is an inventor of 15 patents and patent pending applications in the field of medical devices and is an author of more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in the field of imaging and electro-optics. Michal was also a Beckman fellow and a visiting research assistant professor at the Beckman Institute at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Michal received her Ph.D. in Neural Computation from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1998.
